Today was our fourth and final day in Balti/Falesti, Moldova visiting Felicia. We’ve had an amazing time. Everything has been even better than we had imagined, and I think we were able to encourage Felicia in addition to spoiling her with some nice things. On top of that, we had two nice afternoons getting to know other kids in her dormitory and sharing some love with them. Felicia and the kids had lots of love to give in return and taught us some things, too. Our experiences have been really positive, but they’ve left us totally zapped every evening. Tonight’s no exception. We’re going to have to sit on this and process a little.
Tomorrow we’ll take a bus back to the capitol Chisinau and take the night train back to Bucharest, arriving there early on Saturday morning. We’ll have a day and a night in Bucharest, again with our host Tony. Then on Sunday, we’ll fly to Italy and have a week there with our friends. In Bucharest or Italy, we’ll try to take some time and write down some thoughts and stories as well as post some pictures and videos from our time here in Moldova.
Thanks for sharing this experience with us and praying for us and Felicia.

Lots of love,
Jessica and Adam

Jessica and Adam,
What you both are doing is such a Mitzvah (good deed)! What you provide to Felicia is a connection, hope, and love! We adopted our daughter from an orphanage in Balti, Moldova just over 3 years ago (she was 3 1/2 at the time). WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! We wanted to take all of the kids home with us
We remember the train ride well from Bucharest to Chisinau and back again – it’s like a sauna in there in June!
Please keep up the support to Felicia! We look forward to one day returning ourselves and seeing even more of the country and connecting with more of the children.
Be safe in your travels…
Jen and Dan
