Real Life on Canada’s CTS TV network highlighted Laughing Tree Lullabies, Vol. 1

And as we continue to watch the Haiti situation unfold.. there’s lots of organizations beyond ones that you may be familiar with… that are doing a lot to benefit some of the children specifically that were affected by this tragedy…

Laughing Tree Lullabies, Vol. 1… [benefits] an organization called Sweet Sleep… I think there’s some very interesting statistics when you get the CD itself. It estimates that, and this was prior to the Haiti tragedy, that there’s more than 210 million orphans worldwide, and so often, being in less fortunate countries, these children do not have a proper bed to sleep in…

And it’s a lovely CD. It’s a beautiful CD!  People can find out more and where to purchase their copy by visiting LaughingTree.org.

The Mom Creative’s review highlight, “Review: Laughing Tree Lullabies”

It is such a cool CD - nostaligic, whimsical, fun… I find myself wanting to turn it on whenever we are in [my son's] room and humming along. The songs are a variety of styles and include sounds from many countries.

The global thread is perfect for this album because 10% of all profits from Laughing Tree Lullabies goes to support the work of Sweet Sleep… AMAZING. I love when purchases support others in need.

Lullaby Link’s highlight, “Interview with Laughing Tree”

A few days ago I posted a review of Laughing Tree Lullabies here. I wanted to know more about these artists and thought you might be interested as well. I am grateful that Jessica Lofbomm took the time to answer a few questions about Laughing Tree before she and Adam jetted off to Korea. I hope you enjoy learning about these artists as much as I did.

Amy: What is Laughing Tree? Where does the name Laughing Tree come from?…

Lullaby Link review highlight, “Amy’s Choice Review– Laughing Tree Lullabies”

…Their version of “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean” is better than a second cup of coffee. My son and I sing it in the car on the way to school and I often end up humming it for the rest of the day.

The magic of this album is the combination of fun melodies and spoken word. The creator’s background in teaching languages abroad lends to effortlessly enunciated speech and song as well as a ‘round the world perspective…

Simple Lovely blog post, “‘Kid’ Music + A Giveaway!”

But perhaps my greatest peeve is “kid music.” …I stand by my original statement that music was an ever-present aspect of my own childhood and “kid music” was never part of my parent’s MO. To them, all music was kid music. We listened to what they listened to and loved every minute of it.

There are a few exceptions — the great Dan Zanes and Elizabeth Mitchell are examples of the kid music genre that manage to break through our otherwise air tight fortress of The Beatles, Vampire Weekend, Sondre Lerche and The Ting Tings (our girlies current faves.) And we’ve recently found another anomaly in Laughing Tree’s new collection of lullabies, which is totally mellow and lovely — perfect for when we’re gearing things down for bedtime.

Lightfield blog post, “Laughing Trees and Sweet Sleep”

…Enter, Adam and Jessica Lofbomm, a couple with a passion for the arts. Given all they have accomplished the last few years, this may be an understatement… They decided to make an album….one that their friends could unwind to. Could it even aid in getting children to sleep? We may be onto something….ahhhh….take a listen to the project here. Having heard about Sweet Sleep and its mission, they wanted to help. So they’re donating a generous portion of the proceeds from their record to Sweet Sleep. Is this complicated? No. Is this inspiring? Hopefully. Are they using their gifts to serve others? Yes….!!

Sweet Sleep monthly newsletter highlight, “Sweet Friend Adam and Jessica Lofbomm Create Lullaby CD Benefiting Sweet Sleep”

Friends of Sweet Sleep, Adam and Jessica Lofbomm, have spent the last 3 years living in Seoul, South Korea teaching English, acting, writing and dreaming. While driving through Nashville on a visit home in January, they were dreaming of creating a fun, “chill CD” that their friends would like to relax to - a CD with lullabies, folk songs - songs that would bring a warm feeling of nostalgia to all who would hear it. 8 months later, that CD has crossed the ocean and has arrived here in Nashville!

Laughing Tree Lullabies, Vol. 1 is exactly what the Lofbomms created it to be - a CD to pop in any time you need to relax, rest, rejuvenate and remember songs we heard as children…

Cool People Care “more time on your hands” highlight, “Lullabies Make a Difference”

Adam and Jessica Lofbomm are Americans that have lived in Seoul for the past three years. They love travel, good music, nightlife and kids. They sought to integrate their diverse interests and global lifestyle with the music they loved. At the same time, they saw so many of their hipster friends reaching 30 and starting families, so this husband and wife duo decided to create something that would bring all of these pieces together. The result is “Laughing Tree Lullabies, Vol. 1“…

Educate a Child blog post, “Raffle Prize - Laughing Tree Lullaby CD!”

The first time I heard parts of this album (it was a work-in-progress version at the time) was at an early evening party on top of a rooftop.  It was a casual affair with a beautiful sunset view of the city of Seoul, glasses of wine, good conversation, and NO BABIES, yet the music was a perfect fit.  Mellow lullabies with an adult’s musical sensibilities…
