Adam has long held an interest in playing with film to create engaging atmospheres. He’s been able to dig into that interest a little with our film nights in Seoul, 8mm: Owl Bus Vintage Cinema. Last month, a couple of guys wandered into 8mm and struck up a conversation with Adam about blending film with [...]

OK Go!

Yesterday, I was catching up on a backlog of Sound Opinions podcasts from Chicago Public Radio. On the March 19th episode in which Jim and Greg explore synth-pop, they had a great interview with Damien of the band OK Go. Damien talked about how their music videos went viral and how their desire to keep [...]

Pomplamoose

I just discovered Pomplamoose though Youtube. Their remakes of famous songs are super-inventive and fun, and their original songs are great, too. Check them out on myspace. I though you might enjoy them, too. My favorite is their take on Beyonce’s Single Ladies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIr8-f2OWhs I just downloaded their original album on iTunes, and it’s great. She’s a wacky Australian pop singer with great songs and some of the most creative music videos I’ve ever seen. This first video, Breathe [...]

Steal from anywhere
